Acid Chloride
E-Brite Ultra-Chlor AP – A mixed ammonium/potassium chloride bright zinc plating process
E-Brite Ultra-Chlor AP produces brilliant, level and ductile deposits even on difficult substrates such as cast iron, heat treated and carbonitrited steel. It produces better distribution than any other chloride process on the market. The water soluble brightener goes into solution much more readily than a solvent based brightener. Hydrochloric acid can be added directly to the bath without kicking out (oiling out) the brighteners because of the water solubility. The HCI does not destroy the additives.
Benefits of Zinc Plating Process – E-Brite Ultra-Chlor AP:
- Excellent brightness in HCD and LCD.
- No foam.
- Water soluble brightener that goes into solution without oiling out.
- 30,000 to 40,000 amp hours per gallon brightener consumption.
- Cloud point of 190˚F.
- Wide operating window of operation.
- Low organics concentration produces easier iron removal, ease of chromating, and easier rinsing.
- Rack and barrel installation.
- Good distribution.
- Boric acid is not required.
- Plates up to 130 ASF.
- Operates as high as 120˚F.
E-Brite Ultra-Chlor NA – A non-ammoniated bright chloride zinc plating solution.
E-Brite Ultra-Chlor NA has the same inherent advantages and benefits as E-Brite Ultra-Chlor AP but uses a different carrier component.
